How many people can sleep there?

There are beds for 9 people.  The couch in front of the fireplace is actually also very cozy.

What is there to do in the area?

So much!  There are a winery and brewery right around the corner and next door to each other:  Stone Silo Brewery and 61 Vineyard on Kemptown Road.  So if some in your group want beer and some want wine, you just walk across the field to the other place!  Outdoor and indoor seating at both. 
There are many more wineries close by and there are brochures for all of them at the house. 
Also, downtown Frederick is only 15 minutes away.  Plenty of restaurants and gift stores there.  You can walk the canal that is usually decorated at holidays -  A beautiful display you shouldn't miss.  
There are also good restaurants nearby:  Wilcoms Inn serves a mean brunch as well as other meals;  Monocacy Crossing Restaurant has American cuisine and indoor and outdoor seating - weather permitting; Downtown Mt. Airy also has several good places to eat:  Tony Pazzo's Italian; Upper Deck sports bar; Mt. Airy Inn.

Can I bring my dog?

No.  Sorry.  We love animals, but having just renovated the entire house, we don't want any messes.  So, no pets.

Can we swim or fish in the pond?

Accepted Answer

Fishing, yes!  Swimming, no.  There are plenty of fish in the pond.  Feel free to fish.  
As for swimming, there are very large snapping turtles in the pond.  They generally stay away from humans, but they could mistake fingers and toes for fish and bite!  So, please do not swim in the pond.

Can I hunt on the property?

Accepted Answer

An absolute no.  You will be unfamiliar with property boundary lines and may not hunt.  
Also, we sometimes find people wandering through the forests and we don't want casualties.  So, please leave your guns at home.  No hunting or guns.
